The Red is a striking piece, inspired by a photograph I captured of a brown cow here in County Meath. While her original colouring was a soft golden brown, I couldn’t resist adding my own twist – experimenting with new techniques to bring her to life in vibrant, fiery red tones. The name itself holds a personal connection, as I’ve known many Irish men with red hair who proudly carry the nickname “The Red.” This title, then, honours not only the powerful essence of the cow but also pays tribute to the strong, spirited heritage of Ireland. A true reflection of the creativity that flows through the Irish countryside, she stands bold and beautiful, a statement piece within my Equine and Farm Collection. ☘️
